Nick has been searching for a dog for months now...texting me pictures of dogs...pleading his case for a dog. And it's not that I didn't want a dog, but I was just worried about caring for a dog while juggling the needs of three other children and the household.
However, I knew that he really wanted a dog and that it would be great for the children to grow up with a dog so I said, "Let's go for it!"
We looked into adopting through an agency, but by chance he found a dog that was going to be given up from a private home so we decided to visit him. We went one evening after Colson's soccer game and we came home with a 60lb baby!
Zep is a super sweet dog. He's wonderful with the children, already knows basic commands, stays in the yard, doesn't get on furniture (we have to be careful since I'm allergy prone) and loves to play. I think he's the perfect fit for our family and the kids are crazy about him (especially the big red headed kid!)
