I did it! I'm excited...can't ya tell!

You may (or may not) remember when I started my Get Fit plan several months ago. I completed my first Boot Camp after 8 weeks and lost a total of 15 inches. But what I was even more excited about was the fact that all of that training helped prepare me to run my first ever 5K!
When my best bud L asked me to run it with her I was a bit nervous. I agreed, but I prefaced it with lots of conditions...I may be walking, I may not finish, I may need someone to pull me behind them on a sled...but I would do it.

Once Friday night arrived I was hyped! The weather has been miserable here (mid 90s) so it was nice that the race didn't start until 9:00 pm. Off we went and surprise surprise, I made it! I ran the whole way and my time was 32:09. I was very happy with myself and happy that I could tell a difference in my body since working so hard throughout boot camp. I guess I can now say that I'm kinda sorta a runner? Now I'm looking forward to doing another and hopefully improving my time!
