Getting Beach Body Ready!

Oh yes ladies! It's that time...swimsuit season is approaching, and I for one am N.O.T ready. First, let's discuss my weight loss plan after having the Bug. ...well, that about covers it. I ate what I wanted to, did minimal exercise (ballet did help a bit), and took my requisite 9 months to drop the weight (The motto is 9 months up, 9 months down right?).

Now I'm back to my pre-preggers weight plus about 2 lbs, but still many things aren't fitting the same. The culprit is that stubborn jello jiggler belly. I know that diet will not do much to help this, so it's time to try something else. Tomorrow I will be starting the Beach Body Boot Camp at our local YMCA. It is an 8 week program, 2 days a week, and what I've heard from other ladies it that it will definitely whip you into shape. My main reason for doing this is to be able to fit back into my shorts for the summer. I can get them on, but they are a bit snug. My goal isn't really to lose weight, but to tone up so I do not have to buy new clothes.

Wish me luck because I have a feeling I'm going to need it...and pray that my husband doesn't have to come scrape me off the cement halfway through the workout.

Oh, did I mention I had to sign a waiver to participate? Yeah, that's always a good sign!

**Today's post was supposed to be a lovely Easter post, but somehow when the RedHead attempted to transfer the pics from the memory card to the computer they were erased. So you'll be getting a 'recreated' Easter post in a few days.**

  1. Ooooh. Good luck! I've been trying to get back into shape for the past month or so. It's always so frustrating. The scale goes down one week, and up the next. Grrr. Have fun with this workout though!

  2. Ladies,

Good luck on the workouts. If you ever consider working out at home Beachbody has great products.
You've probably heard of P90X but they have others as well. Only two pounds over pre preg weight. That's great. Happy Easter.

  3. goooood luck! my boss did some sort of "boot camp" three days a week for a year or so and he dropped 50+ pounds. i know you're not looking to lose weight, but he said it's great for both losing unwanted pounds and toning and building muscle. you're gonna be one hot mama!!
