Did ya' see it?!?

I'm talking about last night's Extreme Home Makeover! If you did, you were in for a treat. This week's episode was filmed right here in my town, and a very deserving family got a brand new home! The precious Tricia Creasey has been battling colon cancer that also spread to her lymph nodes, all the while raising three daughters with her husband and continuing to work as a teacher at Brown Middle School.

This is probably the biggest thing that will happen in our town for quite a while! I was so impressed by the turn out of volunteers and contributors who gave of their time, talents, donations and supplies. I remember the week they were building the home...what you didn't see in the episode was the abundance of rain that we had. And still, people came together and built this amazing home. It really warmed my heart to see a family receive a home where they can spend time together and Tricia can restore herself after her chemo treatments. Check out this beautiful home built by the hands of Davidson County:

Before: The Creasey home with a damaged foundation, water damage, and mold.

After: A clean, safe home! Gorgeous!

And if you missed the episode, you can check out the recap video here:
